Why do we have to include the views of people outside of Surrey Downs, Sutton and Merton?

CCGs have a legal responsibility to involve and consult with all patients who use their hospital services.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals serve a population of over half a million people and provide an extensive range of services, including cancer, pathology, surgery, and gynaecology. St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) which is the largest hip and knee replacement centre in the UK, providing elective orthopaedic surgery services for 1.5m people across South West London (c. 5,200 procedures a year).

We are working closely with the CCGs in the neighbouring areas and voluntary sector organisations and external engagement experts to help reach out to people across nearby areas.
