Our proposal for one specialist emergency care hospital would improve the recovery of our patients and lead to faster diagnosis, earlier treatment and improved clinical outcomes. We know that around three quarters, that’s two in every three people, who currently attend our A&Es do not actually need emergency care. They need urgent care. In the future, these people would be treated at one of our 24 hour UTCs.
