Deprivation impact assessment
Improving Healthcare Together commissioned COBIC, the Nuffield Trust and PPL to undertake an independent analysis to assess the impact of any proposed changes to major acute services for deprived communities within the combined geographies of of NHS Surrey Downs, Sutton and Merton CCGS.
The study sought to review evidence of links between:
- overall health and deprivation
- drill into the specific aspects that relate to the local context
- develop initial considerations in relation to emerging proposals for major acute services
It also considers the potential for addressing any impacts found and recommends further areas for Improving Healthcare Together 2020-2030 to consider as it develops proposals for consultation.
